Winter Weather

As you visit Riverside Cemetery in the winter months, we ask that you keep in mind the inevitability of snowy and icy roads. Please drive with care. Do not pull off to the side of the roads, as it is common for vehicles to get stuck in the snow. If possible, wait to visit the cemetery until after our roads have been plowed to minimize the chance of getting stuck.

Riverside Cemetery is not responsible for assisting vehicles stuck in the snow.

Fall/Winter Gate Hours

October 1st through April 30th, our gates will be open from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Holiday Hours

The Riverside Cemetery office building is closed on holidays, but the cemetery gates remain open from

8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Bench Policy

Any existing bench will be removed at the discretion of the cemetery staff on October 1st and will be stored temporarily before being disposed of.

All benches that are not made of monument quality stone are not to be placed on burial plots or other parts of the cemetery grounds.

The removal of benches from the cemetery grounds is a proactive measure designed to ensure that the space remains appeasing and accessible for all.

Decoration Removal

Starting October 1, cemetery staff and management will begin removing artificial/plastic flowers, plants, and displays. Riverside Cemetery staff and management have the right to remove any unsightly, damaged, or out-of-season decorations at their discretion

New Columbarium
